Bloomington police are looking for a man suspected of shooting someone outside a Bloomington apartment complex early Friday morning.
Officers were called to 507 E. Muller Pkwy around 12:30 a.m. after shots were fired.
Lt. John Kovach says witnesses told officers that two men got into an argument in the parking lot of The Village at Muller Park, an apartment complex designed as student housing.
The suspect allegedly shot the 28-year-old victim in the head, then a friend drove the victim to the hospital.
Kovach says the victim was discharged from the hospital later Friday morning with a bullet still lodged in his head. He says surgeons were unable to remove it.
There is no description of the suspect and police are unsure of his whereabouts. Kovach says he was last seen driving away from the scene wearing a red sweatshirt.
Kovach says there was a party at the apartment complex where the shooting took place, but it’s unclear if the suspect and victim were at the party.
No one else was hurt in the incident. Several shell casings were found at the scene and at least one vehicle was damaged.
