Upland Brewing Company Announces Plans For New Indianapolis Location

Bloomington-based Upland Brewing Company is building a new brewery and restaurant in Indianapolis’ Fountain Square neighborhood.

It will be located at the former Value World store on East Prospect.

While the brewery has several taprooms in the Indy area, Chief Growth Officer David Bower says this will be their first brewing facility in the city.

"We’ll have a smaller pilot system that will feature innovation and some clean barrel aging beer," Bower says.

In addition to a brewery, the 13,000 square foot building will feature a restaurant, beer garden, and even a bicycle shop. Bower says it’s part of a new partnership with Gray Goat Bike Hub.

"It fits really well with upland values in general we are a group of people who love the great outdoors," Bower says. "We’re passionate about conservation, sustainability. So it really just all makes sense."

Construction is expected to start in the next few weeks, with a planned opening in spring 2019.
