It’s back – Bloomington mainstay Yogi’s will officially reopen at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11.
The restaurant and bar will open at its new location – the old Scotty’s Brewhouse, downtown at the corner of Seventh Street and Walnut Street.
The Yogi’s Facebook page indicates that the new owners are bringing back some of the original menu items, including buffalo chips and chicken wings with a variety of sauces.
Finney Hospitality Group announced in September that it had purchased the rights to Yogi’s, which had closed in July 2017 after 25 years in business.
FHG Director Chris Martin said during a Noon Edition local restaurants show that the menu will be very similar to the original Yogi’s fare.
“We’ve already spent a lot of time, especially in social media, trying to get as much feedback as possible and doing as much research as possible to make sure that Yogi’s 2.0 has a lot of what people remembered in the previous Yogi’s, for sure,” he said.
Martin also said that Yogi’s Dyngus Day celebrations will continue at the restaurant. Dyngus Day is a Polish holiday meant to celebrate the end of Lent.
FHG also owns and runs downtown eateries Social Cantina, The Tap and Smokeworks.
