The Bloomington City Council will introduce possible amendments to the city’s proposed Unified Development Ordinance at Wednesday's special session.

The UDO is the document that determines the rules for land use and development in Bloomington.

Wednesday is the first of four possible meetings that will make up one long hearing on proposed amendments. Councilmembers anticipate discussing amendments for just two nights – Wednesday and Thursday – but have left open the possibility of continuing into next week.

There are currently eight proposed amendments on the agenda. Four deal specifically with multi-family units like duplexes and triplexes.

The City Council will meet again Thursday night at 6 p.m. to continue discussing amendments.
