The Bloomington City Council will discuss an amendment to the proposed Unified Development Ordinance tonight that would prohibit new multifamily “plexes” in certain residential zones.
The UDO is the document that determines the rules for land use and development in Bloomington.
The council adopted an amendment Wednesday night that makes it harder to build plexes in residential zones by making developers wait three years after demolition to begin building a duplex or triplex.
Tonight is the second of four possible meetings that will make up one long hearing on UDO amendments.
The City Council will meet at City Hall tonight at 6 p.m. to continue discussing amendments.
