The Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office says it doesn’t know if it will press charges against five protesters who were arrested last Saturday at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market.
Bloomington police arrested and cited the group for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct after they brought signs into the market and sang loudly in front of Sarah Dye’s booth.
Dye owns Schooner Creek Farm and has been linked to Nolan Brewer, who pled guilty to vandalizing a synagogue in Carmel last year.
County Deputy Prosecutor Jeff Kehr says the prosecutor’s office still has to obtain and review police body camera footage from the day of the arrests.
“We’ve not reviewed the case yet. Of course, we would do a thorough review of the case before we made any decision at all,” Kehr says.
Rev. Forrest Gilmore was wearing an inflatable pink unicorn costume when he was arrested.
Earlier this summer, an IU professor was arrested for holding a sign and protesting in front of Schooner Creek Farm’s booth.
