Phase one of Bloomington’s first ever cohousing project is nearing completion.
Five houses are already built with four foundations in the ground ready for construction. Parking lots and sidewalks are also nearing completion.
Project manager Lloyd Williams says they will be ready for their committed homeowners to move in as early as May 2020.
“We had a little ground-breaking ceremony with some of the committed residents and it was wonderful to walk around and get their feelings for how they’re gonna live here and to see their excitement level” Williams says.
Loren Wood Builders are now working to hook up electricity and plumbing and to finish interiors.
Williams says the plan is for nine homes to be fully completed by next June.
