Monroe Co. Schools Closed Friday Due To Exposure Of Coronavirus Symptoms

MCCSC released its Referendum Impact Report, detailing how $45 million has been invested into local schools.

Monroe Co. schools are closed Friday, March 13 due to the coronavirus outbreak. MCCSC officials say they were notified that families have been exposed to others displaying symptoms of the coronavirus.

The statement released Thursday evening says all MCCSC schools and Early Learning Centers are closed through Friday, March 27 to minimize exposure and to clean all buildings and buses.

All school practices and extra-curricular activities except for ISHAA state contests are also canceled.

The statement says contingency learning plans will take effect Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27.

Breakfast and lunch will be available for pick-up Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and again March 23-27.
