Senator Young Unsure Of Trump Goal To Re-open U.S. By Easter

Senator Todd Young says President Trump’s hope to reopen the country’s economy by Easter is a “stretch goal.”

Senator Young says it may be possible that certain sectors of the country that are more affected by Covid 19 may be designated as high risk areas.

Young says he doesn’t think the president needs to issue any executive orders mandating social distancing - adding those issues should be handled by governors.

“I think President Trump has been from the beginning sensitive to the fact that local communities understand the need of members of those communities better than anyone,” Young says.

Young says he thinks the President is doing a good job listening to the nation’s governors and allowing them to make decisions.
