Burglary at IU Apartment Reported, Police Looking For Suspect

Indiana University-Bloomington officials sent out a crime notice about a reported burglary that took place in an on-campus apartment. The suspect is still at-large according to the news release. 

The reported burglary took place around 8:20 a.m. Monday at University East Apartments located at 1603 E. Third St. The victim reported waking up to see the suspect standing near a desk. When confronted, the suspect fled. The victim then discovered that some property was missing. 

The suspect was described as a tall, thin male wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants. Anyone with information is urged to call the IU Police Department at 812-855-4111. 

An alert was sent to members of the campus community as required by the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
