MCCSC released its Referendum Impact Report, detailing how $45 million has been invested into local schools.

The Monroe County Community School Corp. announced Tuesday that it would cut the 2019-2020 academic year short by two weeks, following Gov. Eric Holcomb's amendment to the required amount of instructional days.

An MCCSC news release says the district's final day of instruction will now be Thursday, May 7. Originally, MCCSC's last day of school was scheduled for May 22.

MCCSC will also consider Tuesday, May 5 an instructional day. Previously, May 5 was scheduled to be an in-service day due to the primary election, which has since been rescheduled to June 2.

The news release says more information about graduation, grading and returning school materials will be announced later.

School-sponsored breakfasts and lunches will continue through May and into the MCCSC summer meal program.
