Wenesday evening's storm has caused 4,731 Bloomington-area residents to be without power according to Duke Energy spokesperson Lew Middleton.

He says there is currently no estimated timeframe for the power to be restored as crews are still assessing damages. Following these assessments, Middleton says estimated restoration times will be available on the company's outages website.

Middleton said last night's high winds and fallen trees are to blame for many of the outages. He reported 39 utility polls being blown over by the winds in Hamilton County.

The Utilities District of Western Indiana (UDWI) REMC is reporting more than 1,000 customers in its service area are still without power.
