The Indiana University Board of Trustees will convene virtually tomorrow for its regularly scheduled meeting. There are a number of items on the agenda, including the consideration of a $1 billion line of credit to the university.

IU spokesperson Chuck Carney says the credit would be used to help fill the gap of the university’s loss of revenue because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also on the agenda are approvals for two construction projects on the Bloomington campus and one on the IUPUI campus.

A number of appointments and promotions from several campuses will be considered including the promotion of Scott Dolson, who is slated to take over as Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics in August.

The board will also consider two new degrees: A Master of Arts in food science on the Bloomington campus and education specialist in educational leadership at IUPUI, IU Southeast and IU South Bend.

The public business meeting will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on April 10 and can be watched at  broadcast.iu.edu.

Clarification: The trustees will meet to consider a line of credit for the university, not a loan as previously mentioned.
