IU To Start Offering Multiyear Parking Pass Option To Full-Time Employees

Indiana University is now offering a multiyear parking pass option to full-time employees on the Bloomington campus.

Parking passes are up for renewal in June.

The multiyear pass lasts for several years, according to an IU News release, and will be available for EM-P and EM-S permits.

When employees who fit the criteria for the multiyear pass go online to renew or register for a permit, they will be presented with the traditional one-year option and the new multiyear option. The options will be distinguished by expiration dates and payment plans.

According to the news release, the multiyear option will be the same price as an annual permit. The only way to pay for the multiyear is through payroll reduction.

The multiyear permit will renew itself every year automatically. Any issued this year will expire at earliest in 2024.

IU Bloomington’s director of parking operations, Amanda Turnipseed, says in the news release this option for parking has been implemented successfully on other IU campuses.

She says adding this option on the Bloomington campus will save staff time and money as fewer permits will need to be printed and renewals will take up less staff time.
