The last day to vote in 2020 primary elections is tomorrow.
Monroe County election supervisor Karen Wheeler says registered voters can go to their designated polling location to cast a vote.
She adds that this year, numbers for absentee ballots turned in is unusually high because of COVID-19. So far, 14,082 returned absentee ballots have been processed. In 2016, walk-in and absentee ballots for Monroe County totaled over 10,600.
In-person voting totals 1,981 so far.
Wheeler says absentee ballots are a secure way to vote, and that once the ballots are turned into election central from the US mail service, they are put in a vault.
