La Vie En Rose Cafe To Close Permanently

French cafe and bakery La Vie En Rose announced Tuesday it will close its doors for good at the end of the month.

"Dear Customers," the Facebook post begins, "I have been dreading this moment but you are more and more wondering when the café will reopen its dining area."

The post says the cafe's last day of operation will be Saturday, June 28.

People flooded the post's comments with sad sentiments and expressions of dismay.

"You still have 4 more weekends to come and enjoy your favorite treats," the post finishes. "I hope to see you then and to have a chance to say our goodbyes."

La Vie En Rose is the latest local eatery lost to financial hardship caused by the coronavirus pandemic. In April, Darn Good Soup announced it would remain closed indefinitely after an extended closure.
