Today marks the ninth anniversary of the disappearance of Lauren Spierer. The Indiana University student went missing June 3, 2011 after a night out with friends. She was 20 years old.

A Facebook post from her family today shares they are no closer to finding out what happened to Lauren.

In the post, the family asks anyone with information to contact the Bloomington Police and also shares the address for a P.O. box they have had set up.

Lauren's parents filed a civil lawsuit against three men their daughter was with the night she went missing. A judge later dismissed all the cases.

In March of 2019, Lauren's story appeared in a TIME magazine story titled "The 5 Most Mysterious Unsolved Disappearances of All Time" among the names of Amelia Earhart and D.B. Cooper.

In 2011 Lauren's parents spoke with WFIU/WTIU about their efforts toward finding her and gathering information about her disappearance.
