We know about half of Indiana’s COVID deaths are among residents of nursing homes and long term care facilities… but the state has resisted calls to release complete information about COVID cases and deaths in these facilities. Ahead, we ask the state why data is being kept private and explain why advocates say transparency is so important to public health.
