State Reports 13 New COVID-19 Deaths, 277 More Cases

The Indiana State Department of Health  announced Monday that 13 more Indiana residents have died from COVID-19, bringing the state’s confirmed deaths to 2,363. The state agency has also recorded 190 fatalities considered coronavirus-related by doctors but without confirmation of the illness from test results. Those deaths give Indiana 2,553‬ confirmed or presumed COVID-19 deaths.

The state health department also said Monday that 277 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing Indiana’s total confirmed cases to 42,633.

Indiana is reporting 5,147 coronavirus cases in the state's long term care facilities. That's an increase of 205 cases since last Monday. The state also reported Monday that 1,140 long term care residents have died from COVID-19. That's an increase of 58 deaths in the last week.

Monroe County's total COVID-19 case number rose by one to 209, and the county death toll remains the same at 26. Data provided shows 6,259 Monroe County residents have been tested. 

ISDH says it has tested 418,916 people across the state so far.
