The Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour is bringing its Senior LPGA Championship to French Lick. It will be held at the world renowned Pete Dye Golf course.
The announcement comes more than a year after the Pete Dye Course hosted the Senior PGA Men's championship in 2015. This is the first year for a senior women's PGA championship.
In the announcement, Legend Tour President Rosie Jones commended the French Lick resort for its commitment to showcasing the best current and former professional female golfers.
"We applaud French Lick Resort for their commitment to showcase to the world the competitive spirit and exceptional talents of current and former LPGA players and champions," Jones said in a statement. "Women's golf has been enriched by the addition of this important Major Championship for senior women's golf."
The competition will feature more than 80 players.
The event takes place July 10-12.
