Purdue University President Mitch Daniels is heading to India to strengthen university ties with the nation.
The five-day trip will include tours of the top universities that have ties to Purdue, as well as university and corporate partners.
Daniels says he's not ruling out some commerce opportunities should they arise.
Purdue currently has the second-largest international student population among U.S. colleges and universities. Close to 1,500 students from India are currently enrolled at Purdue, and thousands of Purdue alumni live in India.
Daniels leaves Sunday and plans to return Nov. 8.
