Two Indiana police officers killed in the line of duty in 2011 were honored Sunday in Washington, D.C. The names of Indianapolis police officer David Moore and Terre Haute officer Brent Long were among 362 names engraved on the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
Rick Snyder with the Indianapolis Fraternal Order of Police says Moore gave everything he had to his job.
"It‘s somewhat ironic for all of us to know that he‘s the one that we are honoring today and putting on the wall because he would be here doing this for others," Snyder says.
More than 19,000 names have been added since the memorial was dedicated two years ago.
