Officials from St. Vincent Health announced this week they will take over management duties at Monroe Hospital in Bloomington.
Alabama-based Medical Properties Trust will maintain ownership of the hospital, but hired the Indianapolis-based healthcare provider to assume day to day operations.
St. Vincent Health already manages 22 hospitals around Indiana, including clinics in Bedford, Brazil and Kokomo. The company a member of the not-for-profit Catholic healthcare system.
