Beginning January first, Cook Medical's Central Venous Catheters will be available to thousands of more patients. Cook announced Monday that it signed a contract with the health care company, Novation.
The deal will make the antibiotic catheters available to more than 30,000 patients. The Central Venous Catheter sets have been shown to minimize the risk of catheter-related bloodstream infections, which affect 78,000 people in the U.S. annually.
