Deborah Curtis has taken the helm as president of Indiana State University. Her first day was Wednesday.
Curtis is the first female president at ISU. She previously served as provost at the University of Central Missouri.
Curtis replaces Dan Bradley, who retired after more than nine years at Indiana State.
Plans for Curtis' inauguration ceremony have not been finalized.
