Netflix users can now stream a film shot in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Good Catholic was shot in Bloomington in 2016, featuring well-known actors like John C. McGinley and Danny Glover. Netlflix added the film on Jan. 24.
The movie tells the story of a young Catholic priest who must deal with the conflicting influences of two senior priests and the woman he falls for.
The filmmakers boast strong connections to the Bloomington area. Writer-director Paul Shoulberg is a graduate of Indiana University. Zachary Spicer, a fellow Indiana University alumnus and star of the film, co-owns local production company Pigasus Pictures which produced the film.
Several Bloomington spots made the film, such as Rose Hill Cemetery and Harmony School.
Another recent Indiana film production, Columbus, is also available for streaming on Hulu.
