Face masks could be required in public as the next part of the Monroe County Health Department’s next health order later this month.
Penny Caudill is the Monroe County health administrator. She says the health department is anticipating an increase of coronavirus cases as more people go out in public.
She says with each new health order, the department receives lots of public input, and they’re working on an improved system for responding to people’s questions and concerns.
“With a new requirement for face coverings, we’ll likely have more questions, more complaints, and more enforcement actions to be taking.
Caudill says she’ll have more information about potential local mask requirements at this Friday’s press conference with IU, Bloomington, and county leaders.
