The Brown County Council is expected to vote on a measure that would determine the status of an up to $3 million-dollar loan during its meeting Monday.
The money would pay for a number of projects, including building a new police radio tower and replacing seating at the county's fairgrounds.
Commissioner Diana Biddle says the county is borrowing money for many of these small projects because administrative costs associated with loans are so high. She says that means it's actually cheaper for the county to borrow the money now for future projects associated with the courthouse and justice center.
