The Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office has received the Department of Natural Resource’s “extensive reports” and digital evidence on the Fourth of July incident at Lake Monroe, according to a news release.
The prosecutor didn’t release any details about what is in the reports.

Local activist Vauhxx Booker says a group of White people jumped him at the lake over the holiday weekend, dragging him to a tree and calling for a noose to string him up with.
David Hennessy, the attorney for two of the group members involved in the incident, says they’ve been falsely accused, and that Booker was the one who instigated things, allegedly punching Purdy thrice.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is also investigating the incident as a hate crime.
Booker and his attorney, Kitty Liell, have criticized Monroe County Prosecutor Erika Oliphant for dragging her feet when it comes to pressing charges. Oliphant says Booker’s case isn’t taking any longer than most assault cases.
The prosecutor’s office has not laid out a timeline for when any charges might be made.
