Indiana conservation officers recovered the body of a Kentucky man on Monday, two days after he vanished in the Ohio River.
The body of Harold Snook, 52, of Crestwood, Kentucky, was pulled from the river about 8:30 a.m. in an area about a half-mile south of where he went missing Saturday night near Fourteen Mile Creek in Charlestown.
Snook’s death remains under investigation.
Law enforcement and emergency responders from both Indiana and Kentucky used sonar and boat searches to scour the area where Snook was last seen. That search continued until late Saturday and resumed without success Sunday before continuing Monday morning.
Charlestown is located along the Ohio River, about 20 miles northeast of Louisville, Kentucky.
