ISDH Reports Another 630 New Positive Cases

The Indiana State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 630 new positive COVID-19 cases and eight new deaths, which brings the state total to 64,299 confirmed cases and 2,733 deaths. The ISDH reported 724,238 Hoosiers have been tested with an 8.9% positive test rate.

Monroe County has reported 16 additional positive cases bringing the county total to 636. The death toll remained at 30. ISDH data shows 14,184 Monroe County residents have been tested for COVID-19.

Monroe County Community Schools have voted to start classes Aug. 12 online, a delay of one week. Other groups continue to call for the state to provide specific guidelines for reopening classrooms.
