Columbus Receiving $140,000 More In Transportation Grant Money

The City of Columbus is receiving $140,000 in federal grant money as part of the CARES Act. This is in addition to the $2.3 million in CARES Act funding the city received earlier this month.

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s grant award will support the city’s ColumBUS bus system and Call-a-Bus paratransit service. The grant will fund operating expenses, safety modifications, and PPE.

The money comes from $25 billion in federal grant funding to help support the nation’s public transportation system.
