IU Football Players Return To Summer Workouts

IU football resumes voluntary workouts Friday under guidelines from the IU Athletics Medical Advisory Group.

Workouts paused July 17, but now the Hoosier schedule allows for 20 hours of training per week.

Since June 8, the athletic department has tested 480 student-athletes and coaches for COVID-19, with 33 positive tests reported.

IU said it will continue testing and all workout decisions will be evaluated by the medical staff.

The athletic department said any Hoosier who chooses not to participate during the 2020-21 season due to concerns about COVID-19 will retain their scholarships and remain in good standing with their teams.
