Another Bloomington Transit driver has tested positive for COVID-19, according to a city press release issued Monday afternoon. This is the second BT driver and 10 th City of Bloomington to test positive.
Officials said the employee began experiencing symptoms last Wednesday and received a positive result on Saturday. Before that, employee reportedly drove on Routes 1, 2, 3 and 4 from July 14 through July 28 and has since been placed on paid leave.
The press release states that an internal contact tracing process has determined that no other employees or customers were exposed because of protocols implemented earlier this spring. It says vehicles driven by the employee have been cleaned and disinfected.
