Lennie's On Kirkwood Reopens After Months-Long Closure

The downtown Bloomington restaurant Lennie’s reopened today with slightly abbreviated hours, after having its doors shut since March.

The restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Michael Fox is the director of operations for One World Enterprises, which operates Lennie’s along with Bloomington restaurants Pizza X and Hive.

He said Lennie’s will be enforcing the state’s mask mandate.

"Masks are mandatory as you’re walking to and from your table," he said. "We’re also asking customers to put their masks on when the servers approach the table.”

Fox said along with masks, Lennie’s is taking precautions such as temperature checks.

He said all customers will have their temperature checked at the door, and anyone with a fever over 100.4 degrees will be turned away.

Customers will not receive hard copies of menus, but will scan a QR code to access the menu on their phones.

There are also plans in place so that employees can practice physical distancing with each other as much as possible.
