The program, Project Azul, is training Hoosiers to transition into full time careers. After pausing the in-person training due to COVID-19, the program is now taking applications from adults who are unemployed or underemployed to train in the logistics industry.
Yecenia Tostado is the executive director of Project Azul. She said they designed a practical training program that allowed trainees an immediate opportunity to get into a better job that has that pathway to a career.
She said the program aims to help working people who don’t have a high school diploma, have families, or a language barrier through a “practical training program.”

The program’s goal is to train individuals for full-time careers with competitive wages, access to benefits and a pathway to career advancement. These trainings are held at Vincennes University Logistics Training Education Center near Indianapolis.
