Indiana’s confirmed cases of coronavirus rose by 880 on Sunday, health officials said.
The Indiana Department of Health said a total of 93,313 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been reported since the start of the pandemic.
Another six people have died of the virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 3,072.
In Monroe County, the case number rose to 1,093 after 38 new positive tests, marking the highest daily rise since the outbreak started.
The county death toll remained the same at 36, the health department said.
Some 27,072 Monroe County residents have been tested, it said.

On Saturday, Indiana University ordered members of three Greek houses to quarantine because of positive COVID-19 tests.
The university had previously directed members of eight Greek houses to quarantine.
“Three more were directed to quarantine by the Monroe Co. Health Dept. today,” IU spokesperson Chuck Carney said Saturday.
“Those were Pi Beta Phi, Sigma Chi, and Delta Gamma. That makes 11 total,” he said.
IU has directed all of the affected Greek houses as well as the Evans Scholars and Christian Student Fellowship houses to suspend in-person organizational activities, other than dining and housing for live-in members, until at least Sept. 14.
No IU residence halls have been included in these measures.
The university maintains a list of affected Greek organizations on its website.
