The Bloomington Police Department's dispatch center has now seen four employees contract COVID-19 in the last week, per a city news release.
The two most recent cases are among workers who were identified as possible close contacts of one of the employees who tested positive last weekend.

City of Bloomington spokesperson Yael Ksander said the city is working with BPD and the dispatch center to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-recommended protocols for contact tracing and testing.
"Anyone who meets those criteria is definitely being tested," she said. Ksander did not know how many close contacts had been established among dispatch center employees and BPD had not responded to a request for comment by the time of publication.
BPD works closely with the Indiana University Police Department, and Ksander said there is a contingency plan that should leave neither police force understaffed in an event like this.
In light of the two positive cases reported Monday morning, the city emptied the dispatch center facility and brought in a professional disinfection team. During this time, Ksander said IUPD helped with BPD dispatch duties.
BPD dispatch staff returned to the facility Monday night.
The two newest COVID-19 cases mark the 21st and 22nd cases among City of Bloomington employees, the last five of which have occurred within the last week.
