Two more Bloomington city employees are positive for COVID-19. The new results come as five positive cases were announced earlier this week.
Wednesday’s city press release states a positive result from the Sanitation Division and one from the Twin Lakes Recreation Center. Both employees are asymptomatic and isolating at home.
The release says contact tracing determined that co-workers and the public are not at risk of exposure to COVID-19 through the employees. No members of the public were identified as close contacts.
This is the second positive result from the sanitation department this week. The other four were members of the city police dispatch center.
Wednesday’s two new cases marks the 23 rd and 24 th COVID-19 positive cases among city workers since the start of the pandemic.
