Three more City of Bloomington employees reported positive COVID-19 tests Monday, bringing the municipality's employee case number to 27. The 10 most recent cases were all reported within the last week.
A city news release said the newest cases are among a Bloomington Police Dept. Central Emergency Dispatch employee and two Sanitation Division employees.
These are not the first COVID-19 cases to be reported in either department. In the last ten days alone, three sanitation employees and six dispatch center workers have reported positive cases.
An initial news release from the city said the increasing number of cases and the potential for viral spread during the holiday season had prompted officials to look into updating coronavirus guidelines for city employees.

In the time since that statement, seven city employees reported positive tests and there has been no word on what updates the city will make to its coronavirus policies.
