Bloomington’s Fountain Square downtown hosts one of the most popular “mall Santa” experiences in the area, where families often queue for hours for a chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
This year, they’ll gather in a Zoom waiting room.
Rebecca Ellison is the marketing specialist for CFC Properties, which owns Fountain Square. She said parents will be able to schedule 15-minute Zoom sessions with Santa for $20.
“During that session, Santa will actually record that session," she said. "And then after it’s done, they will email it back to you.”
Sessions will include an invitation to a live “Stories With Santa” event, also hosted on Zoom.
Zooming with Santa will be available most weeknights and Saturdays starting Dec. 1 through Dec. 22.
