The City of Bloomington announced Monday that four additional city employees have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of city employees to have tested positive since March to 32.
The new cases are among a Public Works employee, a Bloomington Transit driver and two City of Bloomington Utilities workers, according to a Monday news release.
The Public Works employee is a member of the Street Division. No close contact were identified among the employee's coworkers or members of the public.
According to the news release, the city said close contacts of the two CBU workers, who work at the Blucher Poole Wastewater Treatment Plant and the water utility’s Transmission and Distribution Division, respectively, have been identified and notified. The two CBU employees were not identified as close contacts of one another.
And the city said the BT driver did not have close contact with passengers within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-recommended time of 15 minutes and distance of six feet.
