Students in the Monroe County Community School Corp. will switch to online-only learning starting Wednesday, according to the district.
The MCCSC Metric Committee announced the change to Phase Red Monday afternoon, as the Indiana State Department of Health reported a 10.6% seven-day COVID-19 positivity rate for Monroe County.
MCCSC's learning status (green, yellow or red) is determined by several benchmarks, including positivity rate, new positive cases, test result turnaround time and the efficiency of MCCSC's contact tracing program.
The district moved to Phase Yellow less than a month ago.
