Despite Warm Winter Temps, Perfect North Will Open Thursday

Perfect North Slopes ski resort in southern Indiana will open with "very limited terrain" this Thursday.

According to the Lawrenceburg, Ind. resort's most recent snow report, the snow available for skiing and snowboarding will be limited, so not all of the trails will be open immediately.

However, the Perfect North website stated two chair lifts will be running and seven of the 23 trails will be accessible on Opening Day. The National Weather Service is predicting a high temperature of 54 degrees on Thursday, with a low of 38 degrees.

Live snow cams throughout the park show some snow on the ground.
