The Indiana State Dept. of Health reported 7,360 new coronavirus cases and 71 additional deaths Friday, bringing the total number of cases in the state to 412,135 and the death toll to 6,373.
Monroe County's case count rose by 92 to 6,739, while the death toll remains the same at 65. The county's seven-positivity rate is 7.9%.

Thirty-two percent of ICU beds in IU Health District 8 are occupied by COVID-19 patients, while 17.1% of the district's ventilators are in use by COVID-19 patients. As of Friday, IU Health District 8 is caring for 145 COVID-19 patients.
Vice President Mike Pence's office announced Friday that he will travel to Bloomington next week to discuss the forthcoming Pfizer coronavirus vaccine. Pence plans to visit the local Catalent drug manufacturing plant, where production of the vaccine is scheduled to begin.
