The Indiana health officials reported 6,025 new positive COVID-19 cases and 37 additional confirmed deaths on Sunday.
The latest numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health brought the total case number to 425,434 and the confirmed death toll to 6,495.
Monroe County's total COVID-19 case number rose by 67 to 6,932, while the county death toll stayed the same at 68, the department said.
Some 67,838 Monroe County residents have been tested, it said.
The department said it had administered 4,927,385 tests across the state. That number includes tests run by the state, the Centers For Disease Control And Prevention, and some private laboratories.
Over the past week 12.8% of tests have returned positive, it said. The ISDH says the "number of tests is provisional and reflects only those reported to ISDH. Numbers should not be characterized as a comprehensive total.”
As of Sunday, 3,108 patients were hospitalized with the virus.
Sunday's numbers show that 40.8% of the state's 2,171 existing ICE beds were being used by patients with COVID-19-related illnesses, while 13.8% were still available.
And as of noon Sunday, 13.8% of the state's 2,805 total ventilators were being used by COVID-19 patients, while 70.2% were still available.
