The Brown County Board of Zoning Appeals will hear a proposal from a developer who wants to build an RV Park along Old State Road 46.
Developer Stephen Alexander said the park will have 180 “slips” for RVs, he’s hoping to have it open by the summer of 2022.
The park would be located near the intersection of State Road 46 and Clay Lick Road.
It will be staffed 24 hours-a-day and visitors will be asked to turn down their lights after 10:00 pm to cut back on light pollution.
Alexander said the land parcel is zoned as “Private Recreation Development” and he will prove to the BZA that the RV park meets the zoning criteria.
Alexander plans on applying for a butterfly habitat permit from DNR and will offer wilderness classes for guests.
The Board of Zoning Appeals meeting takes place Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
