Police arrested a Bloomington man on Thursday for allegedly attempting to murder a woman in an apartment parking lot a week earlier.
Bloomington Police Dept. officials said Friday that investigators arrested Travis L. Holmes, 35, without incident on Thursday afternoon.
Investigators interviewed Holmes and charged him with attempted murder, possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, and criminal recklessness.
The arrest was in response to a Jan. 19 incident in which multiple gunshots were reported around the 1300 block of N. Arlington Park Drive. The next day, police say, investigators reviewed surveillance footage that showed a man shooting a gun multiple times at a woman as she attempted to flee following a physical altercation.
Holmes was transported to the Monroe Co. jail. No lawyer was listed in charging documents, which also described Holmes as transient.
