Authorities: Woman dies in Fort Wayne shooting over weekend

Authorities were investigating after a woman died in a shooting in northeast Indiana.

Fort Wayne police said officers were dispatched around 5:15 p.m. Saturday to reports of a shooting. They found an adult female victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

She was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allen County Coroner’s Office has not released further details about the victim, including her identity and the cause of death.

Detectives and crime scene technicians were processing the scene.
