Loan forgiveness, insulin prices, war in Ukraine | Indiana Newsdesk

President Biden announced this week the federal government would be forgiving up to $10,000 in student loans for certain borrowers. Some say the loan forgiveness doesn’t go far enough, while others decry the plan as a handout.

The recently passed Inflation Reduction Act failed to address the high cost of insulin, which is affecting the lives of everyday Hoosiers.  Advocates say they will continue to push lawmakers to cap the cost.

And we talk with an expert on Russian politics as the country’s invasion of Ukraine entered a sixth month this week.
